Why is Judeo-Christian heaven free from desires when the heaven of Islam?

offers 77 virgins to extra-good Muslims, a fulfullment of ual, earthly desires? And does this show an influence of Buddhism on Judeo-Christian beliefs (Nirvana - free from desires) that is not present in Islam? (I'm not implying judgement of religious systems. I am not religious, but very spiritual, so naturally I wonder about rejoining God/the Cosmos/heaven)
