90 Chev Lumina it won't run engine cuts out The code came up as ECM was problem Replace it didn't work ideas?

The car starts up but won't stay running for long and when it is running it sputters and sounds like its missing. Already did the spark plugs and cables, fuel filter is done and just replaced the ECM. I know absolutely nothing about cars, I am a girl!
