Is Lucifer just a misunderstood prodigal son?

Just wondering, since God at his supposed time was a bigoted, authoritarianistic, supreme jack who loved nothing more then to smite nonbelievers and torturing his own followers down on Earth just becuase he CAN ( see Old Testiment) is it possible that Lucifer just wanted some "personal space" from dear old Dad and just took notes on how to deal with humanity from the big guy himself?
